Institute Structure

The Interdisciplinary Center for Advanced Materials Simulation is divided into four main departments reflecting the hierarchical structure of materials and into several research groups dealing with topical research fields such as data science or AI.

The ICAMS board of directors is formed by representatives of the scientific and non-scientific staff and students. ICAMS is evaluated by the ICAMS scientific advisory board every second year. The board is chaired by Michael Finnis from the Imperial College London and comprises members from industry and academia. Last but not least, the institute is technically supported by its IT department and administratively by its coordination office and the MSS examination office.
