Abstract

Many problems of interest in modern technology involve both phase transition kinetics and fluid flows. Some examples here are dendritic growth in the presence of buoyancy driven convection, bubble formation and dynamics of coarsening in metallic foams and liquid phase sintering, the latter including also capillarity and wetting phenomena. This poster provides a selection of our modelling efforts in this active research area. Attention is also paid to fluid structure interaction in the context of vascular flow.
