Fitting of plasticity parameters based on indentatiotion results
Main aim of this thesis is to determine yield strength and strain hardening exponent for different materials by fitting simulation results to the data obtained from experiments. For this study, an optimization procedure has been used which finds the parameters of a plasticity model that give the best match to experimental data of the residual imprint profile in the material. The idea is to make indents on different materials and to identify the parameters of the plasticity law.
